The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has announced the deployment of over 100 trucks to the promises of Dangote Refinery, owned by Nigerian billionaire business mogul and Africa’s richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote.

This is coming as the oil company begins loading Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as fuel, on Sunday, September 15, 2024.

NNPCL made this announcement in a short post on its official X handle on Saturday.

The post was attached with several photos that showed hundreds of trucks stationed within the premises of the Dangote refinery in Lagos State.

NNPCL wrote: “In preparation for the Dangote Refinery’s scheduled petrol loading on Sunday, September 15, 2024, NNPC Ltd. has been mobilizing trucks to the refinery’s fuel loading gantry in Ibeju-Lekki.

“As of Saturday afternoon, NNPC Ltd. had deployed over 100 trucks, with hundreds more en route.”

The New Diplomat reports that the Dangote refinery officially began petrol production on September 3.

Following this development, the federal government announced that the supply of petrol from the country’s indigenous refinery would commence on September 15, after it reached an agreement on operational pricing and supply terms.
