Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has announced the sack of his Senior Special Assistant on special duties, Eruteyan Eradajaye over alleged link to a murder case. The Governor also requested the general public to desist from relating with Eradajaye on matters relating to Delats state government.

The governor made this known in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr Kingsley Emu.

In the statement, the Governor announced that the sack of Eradajaye is with immediate effect.

The statement reads in part: “The Delta State Government has announced the termination of the appointment of Mr Eruteyan Ejiro Eradajaye, Senior Special Assistant, to the governor on special duties with immediate effect.

“Also, members of the public are warned to desist from having any dealings with him as a government appointee as he is no longer under the employment of the Delta State Government”.

This comes after reports emerged that Eradajaye was allegedly involved in the alleged murder of a sand dealer in Delta State.

It was alleged that Eradajaye and the deceased, who was identified as Sam Ophie, had a disagreement on sand issues in the Adagbrassa-Ugolo community axis of the state which escalated beyond control.

The disagreement reportedly escalated and Eradajaye’s loyalists allegedly beat and stabbed the deceased , leading to his death.
