Based on customer satisfaction surveys of 550 of the world’s airports, the Skytrax World Airport Awards 2024 just named Doha Hamad Airport the best airport on the planet!

It knocked last year’s winner Singapore Changi off the top spot, which was relegated to second place but has won 12 times in the past – pretty impressive from Hamad. About the win, Qatar Airways group chief executive offer Badr Al Meer said they were ‘truly honoured that passengers have voted us Best Airport in the world for a third time,’ according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

Eight European hubs made the top 20 – Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport claimed sixth place, while MunichZurich and Istanbul airports also made the top ten.

Though Singapore Changi moved down a place, Asia also performed well, claiming seven of the top 20 spots, four of which are in JapanTokyo Haneda and Tokyo Narita are both in the top five, but Centrair Nagoya and Kansai airport also make the top 20 list, too.
