23-year-old Chidinma Adetshina has been crowned as the Miss Universe Nigeria 2024.
Adetshina, who represented Taraba State in the pageant, defeated four other finalists, including Miss Rivers State, Miss Anambra State, Miss Ondo State and Miss Edo State, to clinch the prestigious title.
The announcement of Adetshina’s emergence was met with cheers and applause as she was crowned the new Miss Universe Nigeria.
She is set to represent the country at the global Miss Universe pageant in Mexico this November.
This came after she was involved in a social media uproar about her nationality.
It would be recalled that she was controversially disqualified from the Miss Universe South Africa pageant.
In her acceptance speech, Adetshina emphasized the importance of unity and inclusivity. “This crown is not just for beauty; it’s a call for unity.”
