Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has officially announced the appointment of Joseph Eboigbe as the new Secretary to the Edo State Government.
The appointment came after Osarodion Ogie resigned from the position to contest as the running mate to the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) governorship candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo, in the upcoming September 21 election.
This development was contained in a statement by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media Projects, Crusoe Osagie.
The statement reads in part: “The governor has also approved the appointment of Mr. Joseph Eboigbe as the new Secretary to the State Government. The appointment takes immediate effect.”
Before now, Eboigbe had served as a former Special Adviser to the Governor on Budget and Economic Planning and later as Commissioner for Finance.
He is a chartered accountant and had a 15-year stint at Deloitte before venturing into public service. He holds an MSc in Leadership and Strategy from the London Business School.”
