The atmosphere in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, continued to remain tense as the #EndBadGovernance nationwide protest persisted.

This is as scores of protesters in Port Harcourt briefly obstructed Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State’s convey.

The Governor’s convoy was obstructed while he was coming out of the Government House Complex.

The protesters insisted that he should down to address them.
However, the police were able to disperse the protesters as the governor was granted easy passage.

The protesters in Port Harcourt had regrouped for the third day running for the #EndBadGovernance demonstrations which began on August 1, 2024. They converged at the Pleasure Park in the city, carried placards, and insisted they would not leave until their demands were met.

Saturday’s protests have been largely peaceful across the Rivers capital. Security operatives were also on the ground on the day.
