Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, daughter of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has spoken out against the planned nationwide protests tagged #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria, urging patience and support for her father’s administration.

In a viral video released on Sunday, Tinubu-Ojo, who serves as the Iyaloja General of Lagos, addressed a group of marketers, encouraging them to dissuade their children from participating in the protests.

Speaking in Yoruba, she highlighted the progress made by the Lagos State Government and stressed the importance of backing the Federal Government.

“Let’s talk to ourselves, our children, and our families that there is nothing like protesting in Lagos. It is just a ploy to destroy the country. See the last protest and the damage that was caused. Let’s not allow our children to participate because a party is paying some people to fight,” she said.

Switching to English, Tinubu-Ojo added, “There is nothing like protest in Lagos State because the government of Lagos State is making us proud. They are making us happy and giving us a sense of belonging. The government at the center just assumed office. Before you say a government is not doing well, give it at least three years.”

It would be recalled that in February 2024, Tinubu-Ojo had also addressed journalists, calling for patience with her father’s leadership amid a global economic downturn.
