President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Omolola Oloworaran as the director-general (DG) of the National Pension Commission (PenCom).

In a statement on Saturday, Ajuri Ngelale, special adviser to the president, media and publicity, said Oloworaran’s appointment is subject to the confirmation of the senate.

The president in the statement said the appointment is aimed at driving efficiency and superior performance in the pension industry.

Oloworaran is a finance and banking expert with many years of experience.

She replaces Mrs Aisha Dahir-Umar who was appointed as the DG of the PenCom in October 2020, by former President Muhammadu Buhari.
