Veteran Nollywood actress, Joke Silva has debunked viral rumours suggesting that her husband, Olu Jacobs has passed away.

Silva who spoke with the press on Sunday said her husband is alive and doing quite fine.

She said: “My husband is alive and doing just fine.”

In a similar vein, the founder of Genevieve Magazine, Betty Irabor, dispelled the rumor making the rounds that the Nollywood veteran is dead.

Irabor who took to her official Twitter handle tweeted: “Olu Jacobs is well and alive. Please ignore all rumours of his passing.”

Rumours emerged on social media that the seasoned thespian reportedly passed away at 82 years on Sunday.

It would be recalled that the multiple award-winning actor has been battling dementia for some time.

In a recent interview, his wife Joke Silva explained that her husband’s poor health had changed him significantly, adding that Olu Jacobs is no longer the man she walked down the aisle with 37 years ago.
