Reveals How He Sacked Bayelsa’s top Monarch

By Abiola Olawale

Reports filtering in at the moment have revealed how a dreaded militant leader, who has been suspected to be the mastermind behind the carnage that occurred in Okuama Community in Ughelli South Local Government of Delta state, has been also involved in several illicit activities shattering the peace in the Niger-Delta region.

According to reports, the dreaded militant and his gang have been operating unchallenged and perpetrated criminality in the Southern Ijaw local government area of Bayelsa State.

The dreaded militant was said to be responsible for exiling the Paramount Ruler of Igbomotoru Communities in Bayelsa State, HRH Ayibaikie Aseimighen Ofongo for three prolonged years!

According to indigenes of the community, the militant leader took control after sending the monarch out of town three years ago.

Sources said the crisis became full-blown after the monarch kicked against the oil bunkering activities in the community. Ofongo was said to have strongly called for a stop to oil bunkering and other criminal activities.

A villager said the militant leader, who dissolved the ruling class in Igbomotoru, is known for oil theft and sabotaging oil facilities, which corroborates the recent claim of the CDS.

The New Diplomat reports that although about 16military personnel were murdered in the Okuama community in Ughelli South Local Government of Delta state, security agencies have beamed their searchlight on Bayelsa state and some parts of Rivers state. Checks show that an intelligence report has it that the perpetrators of the crime have several hideouts in Bayelsa and Rivers state, respectively.
