Indications emerging suggest that the relationship between a former Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasiru El-Rufai, and some stakeholders in the All Progressives Congress (APC), might have turned sour.

This is as the former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) might be reportedly mulling the idea of dumping the ruling party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

On Wednesday, El-Rufai paid a consultation visit to the National Chairman of the Social Democratic party(SDP), Alhaji Shehu Musa Gabam. El-Rufai was also received by the members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party.

It would be recalled that upon the nomination of El-Rufai for a ministerial position last year by President Bola Tinubu, his nomination was rebuffed by the Senate which failed to confirm him citing various reasons. administration was not confirmed by the Senate. Since then, he has been paying consultation visits to some notable politicians across political parties.
