Leader of the #ResumeOrResign protest, Charles Oputa, popularly hailed as Charly Boy has lashed out at music icon, Tuface for failing to identify with him and other protesters who have, for the past nine days demanded the return of President Muhammadu Buhari from his over 100 days medical vacation in London or an outright resignation from his position.

In his Instagram post, Charles Oputa asked 2baba if he did not hear about the ‘Resume or Resign’ protest. It was clear Charly Boy who had expected 2baba’s support, was totally estranged over his refusal to turn up at protest venues in Abuja.

He said: “My guy 2face, I am not happy with you. Since I couldn’t reach you directly, I decided to reach you through this medium.

“Do you remember when you called on Nigerian youths to come out and protest? We obeyed because we thought you had a good intention to stand up to the injustices against the youths and masses of this country.

“But, as you retreated into a hole since then, I am very pained. If a beckon of hope like you can be lily-livered when people need you more, what is your problem?

“2face are you happy with the way Nigeria is headed? Are you saying you have not heard about the resume or resign protest, why are you not involved?”

Recall that 2baba, early this year, wanted to launch a protest against Buhari’s administration, but did not continue, because of ‘security challenges’. However, 2baba promised that even though his Protest’ did not hold, he would continue to speak out for Nigerians.

However, Charly Boy who is the leader and founder of ‘Our Mumu Don Do’ campaign, set up the platform to protest the dearth of quality leadership in Nigeria and the President’s continuous absence at the seat of power in conjunction with the ‘Concerned Citizens activist group.’

Other stars, including the popular Nollywood artist, Jim Iyke, joined him in the protest. But, the protest was suspended after 9 days following the attack on the group at Wuse market, Abuja.
