The body of renowned Nollywood actor, Charles Okafor, also known as Mr. Ibu, arrived in Enugu state on Tuesday in preparation for his funeral.
The body had departed Lagos state earlier in the day and was accompanied by his family, including his second son.
Representatives of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) also accompanied the body of the late actor to its final resting place.
The New Diplomat reports that Mr. Ibu died at the age of 62 after battling an illness that led him to undergo multiple surgeries.
Mr. Ibu was celebrated for his comedic talent and versatile acting skills.
He featured in over 200 Nollywood films, including titles like “Mr. Ibu” (2004), “Mr. Ibu 2” (2005), “Mr. Ibu in London” (2005), and “9 Wives” (2005).
