  • Seeks Import of Food Items

By Isaac Akerele

The Trade Union Congress (TUC), on Monday, appealed to President Bola Tinubu to forget about national pride and resort to importing food items on account of the unprecedented suffering of Nigerians

The President of the TUC, Mr. Festus Osifo, who said this during a press conference in Abuja, called on the government at all levels to purchase food items in enough quantities to distribute to indigent Nigerians, stating that this will help reduce the resulting hardship caused by hyper-inflation of food in the country
