The Nigerian Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO), on Tuesday has announced its decision to halt its ongoing nationwide strike.

The association has also directed its members to commence operation immediately.

The suspension came after a meeting between the Federal Government, stakeholders, and tanker drivers, who had ceased operations and halted the lifting of petroleum products due to severe economic conditions.

Members of NARTO had raised concerns over the high cost of diesel required to power their trucks for the transportation of petroleum products across the country.
