…Murdered 3 Hospital Staff, Injured 4 Others

Suspected suicide bombers have detonated improvise explosive devices, IEDs, at the Molai General Hospital in Maiduguri.

The explosions were detonated in series of three.

The first explosion was around 3:50 am, while the second and third explosions was around 5:00am and 5:30 am, respectively.

A hospital assistant was killed, while four other persons were reportedly injured at the Molai General hospital

Security personnel at the hospital said the suicide bombers sneaked into the premises of the hospital through the back of the building.

“When they were sighted, one of them immediately blew herself to generate attention and the other gained entrance to hit at one of the hospital assistants, who died and four other persons who were injured as a result of the blast,” Mohammed one of the local security men at the hospital said.

Patients and residents of the hospital who fled the area are gradually returning and normalcy is returning as security operatives and NEMA officials were said to have deployed men to maintain order and evacuate the remains of the victims and the suicide bombers.

There is no official statement either from the police or the military regarding the attack yet.
