A former senator who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the Nigerian senate, Sani Shehu, has ureged the political actors in the state to end their political feud and join forces together to free the girls abducted by kidnappers last two months.

It would be recalled that 30 students of the Federal University, Gusau, in Zamfara State, were abducted by bandits in September.

The Deputy Governor of Zamfara State, Mani Mummuni, who was at the university to sympathise with the families and the school authorities over the incident, called on security agencies to hasten the rescue of the kidnapped students.

In a press statement, the spokesperson for the Zamfara State Police Command, Yazid Abubakar, assured that the command would ensure they rescue of all the kidnapped students.

The Senator in a tweet on Friday, said, “The Girls’ Student hostages of the Zamfara kidnappings are suffering in the hands of terrorists. The life and dignity of those girls are at stake.

“The horror of sleeping and waking up as captives of a terrorist in the wild is unimaginable.

“Their parents are crying and in the name of Allah, the Zamfara political elites should suspend their political differences and work together to free these girl students and youth corpers languishing in the den of terrorists in Zamfara.”
