Patrick Abba Moro, a former Minister of Interior and a four-term Senator, has been chosen as the Senate Minority Leader.
The Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, revealed Moro’s appointment at the plenary on Tuesday.
This follows decisions made by legislators in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to zone the seat to the North-Central region for the purpose of fairness and equity.
The Senate Minority Leader was once occupied by Enyinnaya Abaribe, a Senator representing Abia South.
Moro is from Benue State in the North Central.
