Mansur Nuhu Bamalli, the Nigerian ambassador to Morocco, is dead.

His death was announced on Friday by the Zazzau Emirate via a tweet on X.

According to the tweet, Mansur Nuhu Bamalli, 42, died on Friday morning at a private hospital in Abuja while on transit to Morocco.

“On a sad note, we announce the death of Ambassador Mansur Nuhu Bamalli, Magajin Garin Zazzau,” the statement read.

The late ambassador’s funeral arrangements will be announced later, according to the statement.

It would be recalled Mansur Nuhu Bamalli was appointed as Ambassador in-situ to Morocco on October 7, 2022.

He was the biological younger brother to the Emir of Zazzau, in Kaduna, Ahmad Bamalli.

In January 2021, he was installed with the Magajin Garin Zazzau.

He served as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs deputy director prior to being appointed. Ambassador Bamalli is survived by his wife and two children.
