The deposed president of Gabon Ali Bongo has made a passionate appeal for help in a video currently trending.

Mr. Bongo who said he was speaking from his residence where he was been detained appeared to have been separated from his wife and children.

TheNewDiplomat has earlier reported that the president’s son and close adviser Valentine Bongo has been arrested and is awaiting trial for treason.

Mr Bongo in the latest video since his removal from office by the junta Wednesday said, “Right now am in the residence and I don’t know what’s going on, nothing is happening.”

Speaking in halting English, Mr Bongo who said he was sending the message to friends of Gabon all over the world urging urged everyone who saw the video, “to make noise.”
