Barely two days to deadline, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu today finally presented a 28-person ministerial list to the Senate for screening and confirmation.

Since the constitution decrees that the president must take at least one nominee from each of the 36 states of the federation, the president’s list appeared short by eight names. It is not immediately clear whether the president intends to send an additional list or compensate those states in some other way.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio unveiled the nominees which was submitted by the Chief of Staff to the President, Hon.Femi Gbajabiamila, on Thursday.

As earlier reported in this medium, the names were sent to the senate without portfolio which has always been a controversial issue with Nigerians.
