In what may be termed a personal reflection of his administration, the immediate past President of Nigeria, Rtd General Muhammadu Buhari has declared that “leading Nigeria is one of the hardest challenges he had ever been confronted with in life.”

The former President who made this declaration on Tuesday in a Sallah message signed by his spokesperson, Garba Shehu, noted that leadership requires the cooperation and support of all citizens.

Against this backdrop, the former President urged Nigerians to fully support the administration of President Bola Tinubu.

Buhari wished all Muslims in Nigeria a happy Eid and “to those on pilgrimage, Hajj Mabrur and a safe return home”.

It will be recalled that the former President completed his two-term tenure of eight years and handed over power to Tinubu on May 29, 2023 and subsequently retired to his native village , Daura in Katsina state. He had previously been Nigeria’s military leader between December 1983 and August 1985.
