Crisis is currently brewing at the Abia State House of Assembly as 18 out of 24-member impeached the Speaker, Honourable Chinedum Orji.

The 18-member who signed for the Speaker’s impeachment Tuesday morning, accused Mr. Orji of flagrant disregard for the rule of law and high headedness.
His removal followed a motion moved by Hon. Chukwudi Apugo (Umuahia East), and seconded by Hon. Okey Igwe (PDP, Umunneochi).
Four of the members including Ginger Onwusibe, Solomon Akpulonu, Munachim Alozie and Kelechi Onuzuruike refused to sign.

Earlier, the embattled Speaker described his sack by the 18-member of the House as laughable.
