The elections may have come and gone but the race is yet to be over. Though, this time, it’s a family race. It was alleged in certain quarters that inter-party competition gives birth to unsolicited acrimony.

Hence the inter-party Wranglings reported across board have almost brought virtually all the political parties to their knees.

The All Progressives Congress, (APC) appears to deploy a mechanism that tolerate untoward behavior of members. Currently at the centre, members are beginning to scramble for choice appointment in the emerging Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu-led federal government.

With the public declaration of the President-Elect decision to settle down for business of government shortly after his arrival from his one month leave of absence, political appointment seekers are already crawling around Tinubu’s Asokoro residence in Abuja.

One office the President-Elect would not compromised was the Chief Of Staff. Tinubu would certainly opted for one of his right-hand man who is dusted and trusted.

The New Diplomat learnt that Femi Gbajabiamilia, Adegboyega Oyetola and James Faleke have been pencilled down for the plumb job.

Undoubtedly, they all flaunt an impeccable academic and political credentials with imperial arrogance that truly qualify them for the hot seat.

Beyond their different academic status and political sagacity, they remain ardent political disciples of Tinubu.

However, here’s a blow-by-blow of the three-horse race.

FEMI  GBAJABIAMILA

He is a Nigerian lawyer and politician who has been serving in the House of Representatives since 2003. He is the current Speaker of the House of Representatives on the platform of All Progressives Congress.

He was born on 25th June 1962 in Lagos State to Mr and Mrs Lateef and Olufunke Gbajamilia. He is married to Salamatu Gbajabiamila, and they are blessed with children.

GBOYEGA OYETOLA:

He contested for the Osun State gubernatorial seat on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the September 2018 gubernatorial election and won. On 23 March 2019, a tribunal declared him to have not been legally returned and ordered INEC to issue certificates of return to Senator Adeleke of the PDP, which was contested at the Court of Appeal.

Prior to his winning the election, he was the Chief of Staff to Rauf Aregbesola, his predecessor. Oyetola was born in Iragbiji, Boripe Local Government Area of Osun State.

ABIODUN JAMES FALAKE

He is a 63-year-old Nigerian politician, logistics consultant, and business management consultant. He was born on December 25, 1959, in Ekinrin Adde, Ijumu LGA in the old Kabba Province, now Kogi West.

He is a member of the All-Progressives Congress (APC) political party and has been serving as a member of the Nigeria Federal House of Representatives from Lagos State, representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, since June 2011.
