Minister of state for Labour and Employment, Barr. Festus Keyamo, SAN, on Tuesday, mocked the Labour party, LP supporters who had promised massive protest with a view to shutting down Washington DC over alleged stolen mandate from their Presidential Candidate, Peter Obi, in the February 25, 2023 election.

Keyamo in a tweet on his verified Twitter handle said, “This is what ‘shutting down’ Washington by a group of Peter Obi’s supporters look like in protest of their stolen mandate”

Checks by The New Diplomat In the photo shared, revealed that the LP Supporters who turned up for the event were not less than 30, standing with a banner with the inscription: “World Press Conference, Nigeria Democracy is under siege”.

It would be recalled that The All Progressives Congress in America (APC USA), in a statement by its chairman, Prof. Tai Balofin, alerted Nigerians at home that supporters of Peter Obi, were planing to protest at the Park in front of the White House in America.

“We wish to inform the public that a group of the Nigerian 2023 Presidential election losers are currently protesting at the park in front of the White House. It is important to note that the US government was not involved or in support of the protest, as anybody can get approval for a peaceful protest”.
