- Igbos Should Negotiate For Power
As more Nigerians continue to express doubts over judgements emanating from the court, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar has disclosed that he took his principal, former President Olusegun Obasanjo to court eleven times and won all the cases.
Atiku who made this disclosure while responding to a question if he will get justice at the court in his bid to challenge the declaration of his political opponent, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President Elect, said he got justice for the times he took Obasanjo to court, and his principal hated him for that.
Atiku who made this revelation at a press conference in Abuja on Friday, noted that though, things may have changed but justice remains justice.
He disclosed that Peter Obi, the Labour Party, LP presidential candidate was axed by some governors in the PDP but I was bold enough to make an overture with them.
“I have truly wanted to work with Peter. But some governors who did not want him, pushed him out of the party by throwing the primary election opened as against the earlier rotational agreement.
“I have always wanted to work with the Igbos. Hence, I have had them as my vice, believing that an Igbo president would emerge in this process,” he said.
The PDP presidential candidate admitted that Obi truly splitted his votes in the East and South South, adding that if Obi had paired with him in the race, the votes that accrued to him would be for PDP, and this will further enhance his electoral victory.
“As it is Obi does not have the requisite clout to win the presidential election as it is currently demonstrated in this election,” he said.
