As politicians and critics alike continue to question the credibility and transparency of the presidential election results, Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Professor Mahmood Yakubu has promised to address expressed concerns of party men and Nigerians.

Yakubu who made this declaration while reacting to the allegations made by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Labour Party, LP Agents, said that at the appropriate time, he would respond accordingly to the concerns of Party men.
The duo, Melaye and Ihedioha had earlier reminded the INEC Chairman of the inherent powers bestowed upon him by the Electoral Act to upturn what they perceived as ” falsification of election results by unscrupulous and desperate party men at the collation centre.

The INEC Chairman in his response few hours after the dramatic walk out of the party Agents, explained that the same Electoral Act, states that though, he the capacity to reserve any wrongdoing in the election, adding that this would be done only after the completion of collation of the entire results.

He however enjoined Nigerians and politicians who major stakeholders to exercise patience as he will attend to all expressed concerns raised against the presidential election.
