The early morning violent protests that brought economic and social activities to a halt in Lagos, the commercial nerve centre of Nigeria, has attracted the attention of the Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

The Governor, in a state broadcast at the weekend, passionately appealed to aggrieved Lagosians to sheath their swords to embrace peace at this auspicious time democratic process.

He stated that his administration was not unaware of the difficulties they currently going through in order the naira notes.
The Governor stated that they cannot seek redress through violent protests.

Sanwo-Olu stated that in this regard, his administration would ensure that sharp practices by banks are curtail to it barest minimum, and that new naira notes are easily available for use.
