Divergent views have continued to trail the request made by the Minister of Works and Housing, Raji Babatunde Fashola (SAN) that the Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele should as a matter of urgency, reverse the ongoing New naira note policy.

The minister in an interview with the Channels TV station on Monday, said the CBN new Naira notes has thrown Nigerians into untold hardships .

His words:”And if the policy is not working, perhaps, you have to readjust and to also ask yourself whether you thought this through. As a public officer, before and now, I have had cause to reverse myself and I saw that my policies were causing unintended results.”

But Nigerians have lashed out at the CBN governor and the politicians alike for being responsible for the current Challenges of fuel and New naira notes scarcity.

Excerpts;

Condition
It’s a choice to accept bribe. We can’t be suffering because a useless govt is trying to fight vote buying. If you are to stop buying, deploy security operatives to polling units and arrest vote buyers rather than plunged over 150million Nigerians into hardships.

God’s Son:

I don’t know how people think. The masses of this country are suffering, and you are here making useless comments. The government know what to do about vote buying. Will votes not be bought even with this suffering Emefiele and his cohorts are putting people through? Tinubu is still campaigning, including other political parties. Yet, it’s the masses who are suffering. Traders are suffering, the business sector is weeping. Wicked souls!

Holy Wahala;

Which masses? New Nigeria or same Nigerians living in the Poverty Capital of the world? Why are other political parties in court trying to keep dirty monies out of the election? Obi, Atiku, Kwankwaso and all others want the policy to stay….why is it only APC that suddenly cares for Nigerians masses? Listen, una hunchback gorilla don fall from Olumo Rock.

Afolabi:

Mr. Fashola your relevance before most of us is outdated. Fighting the policies of the government where you are a minister, is a mistake. It makes no sense, especially in Nigeria. It’s obvious you have interest for the sake of your godfather.

Atakamosu:

The currency change should remain. It’s obvious APC is crying the loudest because there’s shortage of New currency to bribe the voters silly. A good example is the cancellation of the Oyo rally. Despite the APC getting a large chunk of all available new currency, the amount of money required to keep renting crowds to keep up with the appearance of being popular has hit a brick wall. The CBN should get more of the new currency to inject into the economy. Further extension of the deadline beyond February 10th will only corrupt the elections.

Ekoakete;

So, all Nigerians should suffer because you wanted your candidate to win election? Your level of thinking is poor, childish and puerile.

Aminu;

Mister Selfish only now? Heard you want to be the CoS to Jagaban after ignoring him for 8years.

Joe:R

eversing the Swap can only happen after presidential election so that the monies you people collected from Tinubu must be made useless.
