Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) has reacted to the verdict of the Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Oshogbo which nullified the result of the June 16th, 2022 election declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Adeleke in a tweet, on Friday, called for calm as he reassured that he would do everything within his power to reclaim the lost mandate.

His tweet reads, “I want to use this opportunity to call on our people to remain calm. We will appeal the judgement and we are sure justice will be done.

“Let everyone be reassured that we will do everything possible to retain this widely acclaimed mandate. God bless Osun”!

It would be recalled that the Tribunal had declared the All Progress Congress, (APC), Adegboyega Oyetola as the governor-elect of the June 16th, 2022 election.

The tribunal in a split judgement of two to one also ordered INEC to withdraw the Certificate of Return issued to Adeleke and issue the same to former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.
