There are indications that Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state might have buried the hatchet as per reports saying he has agreed to lead the mega rally of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Atiku Abubakar.

The New Diplomat gathered from reliable source that Makinde, the former Deputy Governor of Oyo state, Hazeem Gbolarumi, the former Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Oloye Jumoke Akinjide will all be in attendance as Atiku flags off his 2023 presidential campaign in Oyo state on Thursday.

According to a source who spoke with the members of the press, Atiku was said to have convinced Makinde during a closed-door meeting which held in Ibadan today.

Recall Makinde was earlier rumoured to be supporting the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu against his party’s candidate, Atiku.

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state who is also the Vice presidential candidate of the PDP wad said to have played a vital role in ensuring Makinde makes a presence at tomorrow’s mega rally.

The development signals a good pathway to put an end to the internal crisis in the state chapter of the party and as well the division at the national level.

Makinde is part of the G-5 Governors always insisting on the resignation of the National chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu before they would join the party’s presidential campaign.

More to come soon..
