Victim of the December, 25th tragic killing, Omobolanle Raheem, who was shot by Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP Drambi Vandi, has been buried.
She was buried on Tuesday at the Vaults and Garden Cemetery along Lekki-Epe expressway amid tears from family, friends and other mourners.
The funeral service of late Bolanle took place at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Olive branch parish, Banana Island area of Lagos.
Delivering a sermon at the funeral service, a former minister of industry, trade and investment, Okechukwu Enelamah, said the deceased’s “relatively short life” was full of great impacts.
Bolanle was murdered on Christmas day by the trigger-happy policeman stationed under the Ajah bridge while returning from a church service.
It would be recalled that a member of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF), an Inspector of Police, Matthew Ahmen, testified before the court that his colleague, Drambi Vandi was allegedly responsible for the death of the female Lagos lawyer, Bolanle Raheem.
Ahmen who appeared before a Lagos State High Court sitting at the Tafawa Balewa Square revealed that they were conducting a routine stop and search when the unfortunate incident happened.
