Despite the plethora of vehement criticisms that continue to trail the introduction of cash withdrawal limit policy by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the Arewa has exonerated the Apex bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele

The Arewa which comprises of youths from over nineteen northern states, on Tuesday, hailed the CBN Governor for the initiative, adding that the motives behind the policy is worth commendation.

The Arewa spokesman, Ali Mohammadu stated that the cash limit withdrawal and cashless policy would put to the escalating inflation currently being experienced by Nigeria.

The Group posited that the policy would also address the fear of election rigging being anticipated ahead the 2023 general elections, adding that politicians with evil intension to buy votes would find it difficult to access cash to execute their nefarious act.

The Spokesman announced that since the implementation of the cashless Policy in 22nd November, 2022, not less than two trillion naira (#2trillion) have been saved in the CBN vault.

Mohammadu, however, urged the CBN Governor not to be discouraged by what he referred to as distractions from some unscrupulous persons who are poised to ensure the total collapsed of the well orchestrated policy that would help to take Nigeria to the next level.

It would be recalled that the introduction of the cash withdrawal limit policy threw the nation into a near crisis situation
