To this effect, the hashtag #WhatsAppisBack is already trending on Twitter.

Another user, Don @Opresii also tweeted the following “WhatsApp is back… Let’s go and update our statuses”.

Similarly, Mukul Sharma with the handle @stufflistings confirmed that the services have been restored.

It would be recalled that the social media platform completely stopped working around 8:00 am on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, leaving billions of users that depend on it stranded.

Meta, the parent company of the platform had earlier confirmed the outage and disclosed that they are working to restore service.

US tech giant Meta confirmed a global outage was affecting its messaging service WhatsApp on Tuesday and said it was working to restore the app “as quickly as possible”.

“We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble sending messages and we’re working to restore WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible,” a Meta spokesman had informed AFP.

WhatsApp is the biggest chat platform in the world, with more than two billion monthly active users, and the third biggest social platform after Facebook and YouTube.
