Senator Dino Melaye and Daniel Bwala as been named as the campaign spokespersons of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

This development was announced by Atiku’s Media Adviser, Mazi Paul Ibe in a statement on Thursday, August 4th, 2022.

According to Ibe, their appointment takes immediate effect.

“Melaye is a politician and a member of the 8th Senate who represented Kogi West Senatorial district. He hails from Ayetoro Gbede in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State,” Ibe said.

“Bwala, on the other hand, is a legal practitioner, politician and public affairs analyst. He hails from Adamawa State.”

Melaye was defeated in the last PDP senatorial primary election for the same Senatorial District he represented.

Bwala is a lawyer and public affairs analyst. He was a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) but dumped the APC for the PDP a few weeks ago.

He was Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege’s legal aide.

It would be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) fixed September 28, 2022, as the date for the commencement of the campaign for presidential and national assembly elections, while that of governorship and state houses of assembly will commence on October 12, 2022.
