Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state has broken silence on his recent travails in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The governor who contested during the opposition party’s presidential election said he is set to reveal all that transpired during and after the election.

Wike was unsuccessful in his presidential bid under the PDP as he lost to Atiku Abubakar. He was later ignored for the position of the Vice-Presidential candidate as Atiku picked Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state.

Since the development, Wike had been silent, with reports claiming that he is aggrieved with the way the party’s primary turned out.

Reports had emerged that Wike might be planning moves to switch loyalty to another party as he met with the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi and three governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) — including Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti state; Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, at different intervals.

In his first reaction to the controversy after Okowa’s emergence on Saturday, Wike who tweeted via his official Twitter handle @GovWike noted that he would soon speak on recent happenings in the party.

“I will speak soon and Nigerians will know the actual truth of all that has transpired in the PDP in recent times,” the governor said.
