Results have already begun to troop in from the ongoing Osun State governorship election.

According to early results, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adegboyega Oyetola has been declared winner of his polling unit.

The governor polled a total of 545 votes to defeat its closest rival, Ademola Adeleke of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who had 69 votes.

Also, Oyetola has been declared the winner of the polling unit of former Governor Rauf Aregbesola. He polled 164 votes to beat Adeleke who polled 134 votes.

The governor secured victory in the polling unit despite the absence of Aregbesola as the Minister of Interior failed to participate in the election.

On the other hand, Adeleke won his polling unit, Unit 09, Ward 02, Abogunde, Ede North Local Government Area, with a wide margin.

The former senator scored a total of two hundred and eighteen (218) votes to beat his closest rival Oyetola who scored twenty-three votes (23).
