The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Osun State, has kick-started its mega campaign for its governorship candidate, Ademola Adeleke.

The opposition party is holding the final campaign at its secretariat in Osogbo, Osun State.

The New Diplomat reports that PDP has had some back-and-forths over the venue to host its mega rally. The party had initially chosen the Osogbo Township Stadium for its campaign but were not granted the approval.

Some members of the party who spoke with The New Diplomat claimed the administration of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola who is seeking to be re-elected rejected PDP’s request to hold its mega rally at the Osogbo Township Stadium.

Also, the source said the party was not granted the approval to hold the campaign at Freedom Park, Osogbo.

Despite the situation, the source said the PDP is determined to go ahead with its campaign.

Meanwhile, PDP’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar; Vice-Presidential candidate, Ifeanyi Okowa; Governor Bukola Saraki; among a host of others are expected to give speeches during the campaign.
