The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan joined the Presidential candidate of the All-Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, governors and other chieftains of the party to drum up support for Governor Adegboyega Oyetola at the Osun State mega rally that took place in Osogbo on Tuesday.

Governor Oyetola is seeking re-election for a second term and the governorship poll has been scheduled to hold in the state this Saturday.

Speaking at the rally, Lawan commended Governor Oyetola for the giant strides recorded in the state in the last three and half years.

The Senate President said: “This afternoon, I have brought felicitations, solidarity and support from the National Assembly to this very important mega rally in the state of Osun.

“We, members of the National Assembly of the APC extraction, are completely in support of our party and the leaders of this party.

“Like previous speakers have said, the state of Osun has witnessed a serious and massive transformation in the last three and half years.

“Here we have a Governor who is prudent and we have a Governor who is efficient with very meagre resources.

“Today, Osun has witnessed so much infrastructural development, political stability, and peace, with both government and the party working hand in hand.

“We believe that we have everything that we need for development with this our Governor.”
