aminuFormer Secretary to the Federal Government (SGF) during late General Sanni Abacha’s regime, Alhaji Aminu Saleh, is dead.

He died Wednesday morning, at age 87, at the Federal Medical Centre Azare, in Katagum Local Government Area of Bauchi state, after a brief illness.

According to a family source who spoke on condition of anonymity, Aminu Saleh will be buried  on Wednesday evening according to Islamic rites.

He is survived by a wife, 13 children and grandchildren. Among the children are Engineer Kabiru Aminu Saleh, eldest son and the immediate past deputy Governor of Bauchi state, Sagir Aminu Saleh.
