Cristiano Ronaldo has confirmed the death of one of the twins, the boy, that Georgina Rodríguez has given birth to.

Fortunately, the daughter was born healthy.

Ronaldo shared the devastating news through a statement that Cristiano Ronaldo has just confirmed on his Instagram profile.

One of the children that Georgina Rodríguez, his partner, was expecting to give birth to has died, while the daughter was born healthy and without complications, as the Portuguese has announced.

The statement reads:”It is with our deepest sadness that we have to announce the death of our son. It is the greatest pain a parent can feel. Only the birth of our daughter gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness,” the Manchester United star posted.

The child passed away still in Georgina’s womb, but fortunately the daughter was born safely. “We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for their care and support,” adds the text from Cristiano and his partner, who announced the pregnancy more than five months ago.

“We are devastated by this loss and ask for privacy at this difficult time. Baby, you are our angel. We will always love you,” concludes the statement from the Portuguese, who will take a few days away from the cameras and the public eye.

“It is worth remembering that Cristiano, not counting his newborn daughter, is the father of four children, the eldest being Cristiano Jr (eleven years old); the twins Eva and Mateo, born from a surrogate mother, and little Alana Martina, the first daughter between Georgina and himself.”
