A popular Nigerian Disk jockey, DJ Obi has opposed Banky W’s political ambition after he announced his defection to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and plans to contest again for the House of Representatives (Eti-Osa Constituency).

DJ Obi’s reaction is as a result of Banky W’s defection announcement to PDP recently.

His defection was met with criticisms as some accused him of dining with ‘corrupt politicians’ by joining the PDP.

However, others applauded his decision to join the opposition party, noting that such opportunity is needed for him to be elected and change things.

DJ Obi reacting via his Instagram handle, told Banky W to step down and allow serious minded politicians willing to risk it all, to change Nigeria.

According to him, Nigeria needs real politicians and not someone who changes profession everyday.

“Anywhere breeze blow you dey there. Today pastor, tomorrow artist, next tomorrow politician. Next week deliverance ministry, next month new single on the way. ABEG! We need real politicians.

“This is not a popularity contest. We are serious about our country, Nigeria is on the verge of getting on the path of greatness, we need solid men that are willing to loose it all for this nation to work and work well. The work ahead is not for the weak hearts No be now I go talk.

“This closet MF is still disg*sting. It will all play out and I won’t be silent, I will be part of that call out ALL DAY! Na me just won start am, the rest will join in

later with RECEIPTS!

Politics Abi? Make we play am.”

As at the time of this report, Banky W is yet to respond to his comment.
