Supporters of Abdul-Azeez Yari for National Chairmanship postion of the All Progressives Congress has called on card carrying members of the ruling party to support the immediate past Governor of Zamfara state in his quest.

Addressing a press conference in Kaduna, 16th December,  the national publicity Secretary of the group, Alhaji Abdulkadir Dantsoho said, as a group, they have carried out thorough investigations on all of the aspirants seeking the political position and came up with the conclusion that Yari’s credentials stand him out.

According to the group, Yari has done well as party Chairman in the State, as member of the House of Representatives and as a two term Governor of Zamfara State and in all of the positions he had held in time past.

“Our support and call for support for Abdul-Azeez Yari for the National Chairman of the APC is based on several factors among which is tha fact that he has remained consistent in the party and has never defected like some of the contenders have done in time past.

“As a governor of Zamfara State, he transformed the State positively and we belief that as a veteran and essential political tactician, he has what it takes to take the APC to a greater height and lead the party to victory in 2023.

“As the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF), Abdul-Azeez Yari was able to coordinate the entire governors during his term in office without any rancur whatsoever.

“We are appealing to all card carrying members to support the.camdidacy of Abdul-Azeez Yari in the forth coming national delegates conference of the party and elect him as the party’s national Chairman” the group stressed.
