At least two doctors have been reported dead from the recent outbreak of Lassa Fever in Nasarawa State.

Though appropriate authorities have not confirmed the development, sources privy to the matter disclosed that the two doctors who contracted Lassa Fever have been receiving medical treatment but passed away on Wednesday.

Also, two other victims, a mother and her baby reportedly died of the deadly disease.

Last week Friday, Dr Janet Angbazo, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, during a press conference in Lafia, confirmed the outbreak of Lassa Fever in the state.Angbazo had said that the state had recorded two cases of Lassa fever since the beginning of the dry season in the state.
