Lagos State Governor, Mr. Bababjide Sanwo-Olu, on Wednesday, presented a proposed 2022 Appropriation Bill pegged at N1.388 trillion this members of the state House of Assembly.
In the budget, tagged ‘Budget of Consolidation’. N564.9 billion was earmarked for recurrent expenditure while capital expenditure was pegged at N823.5 billion.
The 2022 budget estimate is a bit higher than that of the outgoing year, 2021 of N1.163 trillion.
Speaking during the presentation , Sanwo-Olu said the budget was carefully prepared and tuned toward delivering all the electoral promises made by his administration.
His words, “As well as demonstrate the willingness to overcome all obstacles and deliver all electoral promises to Lagosians, the 2021 budget will reflect the continued execution of the theme.”
Also present during the presentation were the Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat; members of the State Executive Council (SEC); Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, among others.
