Some protesters under the #RevolutionNow movement stormed the Gani Fawrhinmi Park located in Ojota, Lagos State on Friday, October 1, a day Nigeria marks its independence anniversary.
The protesters who came out in large numbers displayed various placards with the inscription, ‘Buhari Must Go’, ‘Stop Recruiting terrorists into the Nigerian army, among others.
The protesters chanted solidarity songs to press home their demands as they expressed their grievances against insecurity, poor economy, lawlessness, and other challenges in the country.
Also, some group of protesters stormed the Dantata Bridge along the popular Airport Road in Abuja.
The protesters demanded for an immediate resignation of the President Muhammadu Buhari, saying that the president has failed to live up to the expectation of Nigerians.
However some heavily armed policemen have disperse the protesters.
Similarly, protesters under the aegis of #Revolutionnow Movement on Friday took to the streets of Osogbo, Osun State.
The protesters who lamented the continued detention of leader of popular Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho, demanded his immediate release.
