The Federal Executive Council (FEC), on Wednesday has approved a 14-day paternity leave for men working in the federal civil service.
The Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan made the disclosure while addressing a press conference at the end of the FEC’s weekly meeting presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.
Yemi-Esan explained that the development was to allow men bond properly with the newborn baby or adopted one.
She also added that fathers of adopted babies of less than four months will also enjoy this gesture.
