The Chairperson of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has opined that Nigerian-British boxing champion, Anthony Joshua, will return to the boxing ring “bigger, better and stronger,’ after losing his titles to Ukraine’s Oleksandr Usyk.
The NIDCOM head said this on her Instagram page with a picture of Joshua, stating that the boxer with bounce back.
Recall that Joshua lost his IBF, WBA, WBO heavyweight titles to the Ukrainian in front of a 65,000 crowd at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
In her words of encouragement, she wrote, “Temporary setbacks can’t take winners off their course. AJ will return bigger, better and stronger.”
However, this would be the second defeat in the boxer’s career. He had his first defeat as a boxer last year in the hands of Andy Ruiz.
