Breaking: AMCON Takes Over Ex-Gov Ahmed’s Mansion [Video]

The Assets Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) has taken over a house belonging to the former Governor of Kwara State, Abdulfattah Ahmed over an alleged N5 billion debt.

It was gathered the operatives of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) stormed the residence of Ahmed located in No.9A, AbdulRazaq Street, GRA, Ilorin, Kwara state capital.

This was contained in a video made by a legal counsel to AMCON, Barrister Robert Nwoba, and sighted by The New Diplomat.

In the video, Nwoba confirmed that the house was seized over an unpaid debt of N5 billion.

Recall that Abdulfattah with some prominent Nigerians yesterday had joined forces to create a new political party codenamed Rescue Nigeria Project (RNP).

According to the founding members of RNP, the creation of the party is to give Nigerians an alternative platform apart from the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who have been in power since 1999.

Among the founding members are; former INEC Chairman, Attahiru Jega; former Governor of Kwara State, Ahmed Abdulfatai; former Governor of Cross River state, Donald Duke, Prof. Pat Utomi; Prof. Tunde Adeniran; Senator Lee Maeba; among others.
