Ten of the remaining 31 abducted students of Bethel Baptist High school, Damishi, Kaduna state have been set free by their abductors after spending 75 days with captors.

They were among the 121 students kidnapped on July 5 when bandits invaded the school in Chikun Local Government Area of the state.

The release of the 10 students was confirmed to journalists by Kaduna Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Joseph Hayab on Saturday evening.

Hayab said the students were released on Saturday night and have been reunited with their parents. He however disclosed that an undisclosed amount of ransom was paid before their release.

Following this latest development, 21 of the kidnapped students are still with the bandits as 100 have so far regained their freedom.
